A global month for a conversation worth having properly.

Every September, people across the world come together to talk openly about dementia. This year, Age Brightly is bringing that conversation to Auckland — a full month of free events, real education, and a brand-new programme to help you stay ahead of it.

 THE GLOBAL CAMPAIGN

One month, one world, one conversation.

World Alzheimer's Month is the international awareness campaign led by Alzheimer's Disease International (ADI), running every September. It brings together individuals, dementia organisations and everyday communities across the globe with one shared goal: talk about dementia more openly, and push back on the stigma that still surrounds it.

Every year carries its own focus. This year's international campaign centres on early diagnosis — the idea that knowing sooner opens the door to more options, for treatment, care and support alike, for the person living with dementia and everyone around them.

 NEW BRAIN HEALTH PROGRAMME

Introducing MindThrive.

A structured three-month programme built to catch the everyday, treatable factors that quietly get mistaken for cognitive decline — sleep, medication, hearing, mood, nutrients and cardiovascular health — before jumping to the worst conclusion.

MindThrive starts with a Baseline Assessment and moves into either an ongoing maintenance plan, or, where it's genuinely needed, a formal diagnosis and treatment pathway.

Initial consultation: after Baseline+TM identifies any reversible risk factors, your full intervention plan is built and activated

 WEEK 1–2

Parallel interventions: eight clinicians working simultaneously across three months

 MONTHS 1–3

Three-month review: your progress is reviewed and next steps are agreed

 END OF MONTH 3
