Category: Preventative health and wellbeing services for older adults

Brightly is an evidence‑led, whole‑of‑person health service focused on proactive and preventative ageing care. Brightly supports older adults to maintain independence, slow avoidable decline, and age with dignity and confidence.

Purpose and Mission

Brightly exists to reinvent ageing.

Ageing is a privilege, yet many people experience it through anxiety, fragmented care, and avoidable health crises. Brightly’s mission is to change this by shifting healthcare from reactive treatment to proactive prevention, using coordinated, personalised, technology‑enabled care.

Brightly aims to:

  • Prevent avoidable health decline and hospital admissions
  • Support independence and functional ability as people age
  • Reduce system strain through early identification of risk
  • Provide clarity, confidence, and coordinated care for individuals and families

Who Brightly Serves

Brightly primarily supports adults aged 65–80, though members may be younger or older depending on health needs and goals.

Brightly is suitable for:

  • People who want to age proactively and maintain independence
  • Individuals with early or increasing health complexity
  • Families supporting ageing parents
  • People seeking clarity and coordinated care rather than reactive treatment

Brightly does not replace a person’s GP. It works alongside existing primary care providers.

Care Model Overview

Brightly delivers proactive, person‑centred care that is:

  • Preventative rather than reactive
  • Coordinated across disciplines
  • Easy to navigate

MindThrive Programme

Identify and target the reversible causes of cognitive decline early, while it matters most.

MindThrive starts at $1,799 incl. GST
See what is included, and not included, listed below. Optional add-ons and additional tests are passed on to you at cost, and your GP will give you the likely figures at your first consultation before anything is ordered.

MindThrive is available to Brightly members who have completed their Baseline assessment. Your Baseline results are the clinical foundation on which your intervention plan is built.

WHAT'S INCLUDED
  • A consultation with your Brightly GP, who reviews your results and builds your personal 3-month plan

  • Ongoing coordination from your Brightly nurse to help set up any referrals and keep things moving

  • Four sessions with your health coach, to help you make real changes to your nutrition, sleep, movement, stress and alcohol intake

  • Extra nurse support along the way, if your health coach thinks you'd benefit from clinical advice

  • A repeat memory assessment and blood tests at the end of the programme, to see what's changed

  • A geriatrician's review of all your results

  • A final consultation with your Brightly nurse to walk you through your results and your next step — either ongoing lifestyle support, or a referral for a formal diagnosis if any concerns remain

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED
  • Any blood tests

  • A hearing check, if one is recommended for you

  • A sleep study, if one is recommended for you

  • A referral to a hormone specialist, if one is needed

  • A pharmacy review of your medications, if this is recommended for you

  • A follow-up appointment with your own GP to put your treatment plan into action (we'll help you find a GP if you don't already have one)

  • Your Baseline assessment, which happens before MindThrive begins
