Who is
Brightly

Our personal experiences of watching and  trying to help loved ones navigate our current aged care system were frustrating, time consuming and sometimes distressing.

We felt that there must be a better way to support people as they age, to help them live well, with dignity and confidence. As well as unnecessary stress and suffering for older people, our current care model has significant knock on effects -  more crowded EDs, more and longer hospital admissions resulting in bed block and faster decline leading to more pressure on aged care facilities.

And so the idea for Brightly was born.

Because we believe ageing shouldn’t feel like a slide into decline. People deserve the chance to age well. To live fuller, meaningful, more rewarding lives.

To live life more Brightly.

Our journey so far

In August 2025, we begin a pilot programme in Southland, involving X people.

The aim of the pilot will be to test our model, to gather information about how to improve it, and what it will take to scale.

Depending on how the pilot goes, our next step is likely to be Y, with the aim of being able to go national later in the year.
